Proof of impact and vision
On 5th September 2025, our Founder & Executive Director, Geoffrey Mtika, was honoured as a Young Innovator in Malawi by the Government of Malawi through the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the National Youth Council of Malawi. This recognition is not only a powerful highlight of the hard work, dedication, and impactful innovation driven by Geoffrey and our entire team; it is also a recognition that acknowledges his leadership and contributions in advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Quality Education (SDG 4). The recognition also highlights his innovative work and dedication to youth empowerment and sustainability. We are grateful for this commendation and the ongoing opportunity to empower communities and drive impactful change across Malawi.
This award emphasizes the impact of Geoffrey Mtika and VGI in creating scalable, sustainable solutions that uplift communities economically and environmentally.
